Art expressed his appreciation for Chief Hanley's support in procuring radio room equipment. Some have already been received, with the balance expected to come in next week.

The antennas for channel 2 on the hilltop building were relocated in preparation for building reroofing. Art reported that he has received expert advice that the main antenna should be replaced. A new antenna is estimated to cost from $1100 to $1700. Chief Hanley asked Art to meet with him after 1 July concerning this possible antenna replacement.

Mike White reported that Firemen's Fund representatives met with Chief Hanley last week to present him with a symbolic check for $2700 from their "Bucket Brigade" Committee. The funds are earmarked for a defibrillator to be used by the volunteers when they are called for station staffing.

Officer Patti Baron noted that the annual "National Night Out" is scheduled for this August 2nd. It will be organized by Neighborhood Watch and she invited BERT members to participate.

Chief Hanley reported that the new Fire Department budget is being finalized and includes funding to support BERT and RACES activities.
